(WeWriWa) is a group of writers who agree to post 8 sentences of either a published work or an unpublished work on their blog on Sunday (voluntary and you sign up). Those who have signed up (and anyone else) has the pleasure of traveling (virtually) to samples of different authors’ stories, novels etc. Great fun!
Here’s an excerpt from the Thief King Chronicles unpublished. We’re continuing after James saved Eliza and they kissed. Warning: Grab a physics book because James is about to go into some physics talk with Eliza.
His lips against mine was pure oblivion, nothing else mattered and nothing else was important, only the two of us; However James abruptly broke the kiss.
“What?” I asked, he looked at me focused and concentrated but a bit melancholy as well.
“We shouldn’t be doing this, not right now anyway, they’ll be plenty of time for kissing later, we have to defeat Rouge,” he said; I nodded in understanding but oddly I hungered for more of James’s soft rosy lips, “What course of action do you recommend?”
James got up and looked at the ongoing battle between Silas and Rouge, “I have a theory and it’s a wild shot but if we can pull it off then we’ll win this.”
I rose to my feet as well, “What is it?”
“It’s simple, Rouge told us that her body was made out of rubber now, which means that she’s made of atoms not cells, Rubber is typical made of a unique type of covalent bonds called disulfide bonds, those bonds connect the atoms that make up her body together; Now if a certain level of energy is reached then the bonds or the atoms can be split leading to a chain reaction atomic explosion.”
“I don’t understand, I was never good at science.”
James smiled at me and explained in less complex terms, “Rouge is made of atoms not cells, if you split one atom then the resulting energy will trigger enough energy to destory them all, that’s how we’re going to beat Rouge; we’re going to split an atom.”
Chapter name: Le Silence Pour la Assassiner d’un Voleur(The Silence for the Murder of a Thief )
James has a theory but will it work? Even if his theory is correct, how will they get the necessary amount of energy to split one of Rouge’s atoms? And what about Silas? How will be during all of this? Find out next week.

Side Note: Okay, I’m going to explain nuclear physics to you. . . and I’m only nineteen. See in the world as you should know there is nuclear power reactors. These reactors create energy by constantly splitting atoms and this splitting is called “fission”. If each split creates two neutrons to do more splitting then a chain reaction can result. This is how both nuclear power and bombs are created. Nuclear bombs create chain reactions very quickly, making a large amount of energy quickly while nuclear power plant chain reactions are controlled so the amount of energy is as well. So basically what James is saying if they can manage to split one of the atoms that makes up Rouge’s body then the rest will continue to split creating a chain reaction which will kill her.
Can you comment on my physics if you know if they right or wrong?
